Video for Developers: How to Present a Project During Construction

The main challenge of marketing a new development is that the property doesn't physically exist yet, while it needs to be sold starting at the pre-sale stage. Here's which video formats actually help developers present a project convincingly while it's still being built.

Aerial footage of the construction site: scale and pace of work

A drone flyover shows the real scale of construction, its position relative to the sea, the city and transport infrastructure — arguments that are hard to convey with a render. Regular flyovers at different construction stages also document the pace of work, which matters for investor reporting.

3D visualization combined with real footage

Computer graphics and AI visualization let you "finish" the complex digitally and show what it will look like when completed — combined with real footage of the construction site, this looks far more convincing than a bare render without context. For developer Neinor Homes, for example, we put together a video on a tight deadline that combined a visualization of the future complex with the real location.

Regular progress documentation

Construction progress videos are a useful format not just for marketing but also for internal communication with partners and investors who can't regularly visit the site in person.

Interviews with the architect and project team

Expert content — an interview with the architect about the building's concept, with the developer about the project's vision — builds trust in the brand and works well alongside visual footage of the site.

When to film: the stages where video works best

The first shoot is usually needed at the start of sales, to present the concept and location. Interim flyovers document progress for investors. The final shoot of the completed property closes the marketing cycle and is used for listings and portfolio. We handle drone flight permits at the site ourselves — more in our article on filming permits.

We work with developers and construction companies in Barcelona, Catalonia and across Spain at every stage of a project. Examples are in our architecture and real estate section; discuss your project by sending a request.
