Barcelona has hundreds of recognisable locations, but the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta, Montjuïc and Eixample also bring crowds, noise and constant movement.
Here are five less obvious locations for photo and video shoots in Barcelona and Catalonia, from rocky coves and medieval streets to fields, quarries and a forest lake.

📍 Open Platja del Pebre in Google Maps
This small rocky cove near Sitges gives you sea, stone and open coast without a dense urban background. It is especially useful in winter, when the beach is quieter. The walk down from the road should be checked before bringing heavy equipment.
Good for: fashion, lifestyle, music videos, advertising, sport and travel content.

📍 Open Manresa historic centre in Google Maps
Manresa offers narrow streets, stone, arches, squares and medieval buildings. Basílica de la Seu, Carrer del Balç and Torre de Sobrerroca create the feeling of an old European city, often with calmer working conditions than central Barcelona.
Good for: films, historical scenes, documentaries, fashion, advertising and automotive video.

Montblanc is one of Catalonia's strongest medieval locations. Its preserved walls, towers, stone streets and old houses need very little visual reconstruction. The town is accessible by car, bus and R13/R14 trains.
Good for: cinema, fantasy, historical projects, fashion campaigns, music videos and cinematic travel content.

Outside the centre of Rubí you can find fields, dirt roads, hills, woodland and open space. Clay and gravel landscapes can create a dry, almost southern-Spain look. Active quarries are private sites, so access must be agreed with the owner in advance.
Good for: cars, outdoor, sport, fashion, music videos and advertising.

📍 Open Pantà de Vallvidrera in Google Maps
This small reservoir in Collserola combines water, woodland, paths and green banks. It can create the feeling of a much more distant nature location without taking the whole crew far from Barcelona. Work carefully and avoid disturbing the surrounding environment.
Good for: lifestyle, wellness, outdoor, fashion, interviews and small narrative scenes.
